About me
I am Liza. I grew up in the beautiful land of Crimea, Ukraine, and now live between London and Devon with my partner and our rescue dog.
I have always been drawn to the Earth. From early on I spent much of my time outdoors — hiking, camping, and exploring the land I was calling home. I was part of a scout organisation throughout my teenage years, and went on to study Earth Sciences at university. I have always followed my heart, and never hesitated to change direction when something no longer felt aligned. Over the years I was part of the leadership team at the UK branch of AIESEC, a global youth leadership organisation, before briefly moving into startup operations, project management, and communications. I later led digital climate change campaigning across Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia — while exploring my own personal and spiritual growth along the way.
I was committed to my yoga practice, and at a certain point left my job to study yoga and meditation in India. Around the same time, close friends who were facilitating retreats at Nimea Kaya Healing Centre in Peru invited me to experience the profound healing of plant medicines — so I began travelling there, and returned several times as a participant and later a volunteer. These two threads wove together, and over time I found myself holding yoga, movement, and meditation spaces and wellbeing days in London. My partner and I co-founded Wonderful Things, a yoga and conscious events space, and it was during these years that I discovered trauma work, began studying, and eventually decided to become a therapist.
My path and my work are rooted in my own healing journey — working through childhood trauma, rebuilding a sense of safety and self-worth, reconnecting with my authenticity, and navigating the ongoing impact of the war in Ukraine. This is not work I came to from the outside. I walk it too.
I am a certified Compassionate Inquiry® practitioner, currently completing an MSc in Psychology (BPS-accredited), and in training as both a Gestalt therapist and Somatic Experiencing practitioner. Over the years I have also trained in Embodied Resilience, Foundations of IFS, Nonviolent Communication, and Suicide Awareness. I love learning — navigating human experience feels like a lifelong calling.
Part of my work includes MDMA-assisted therapy, which I am happy to speak about more in a discovery call. I am trained with MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) and work under private mentorship.
